About the methodology & vision.
The Team Energy Measurement is based on four years of doctoral research by Dr. Cees van der Zwan in collaboration with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. This means the methodology is not based on opinions, but on independent research, data analysis, and proven facts. Scientifically validated means, among other things: 1. We measure the right things — The questions are statistically tested so that the outcomes accurately reflect the team’s dynamics. 2. Reliability and consistency — Scientific research ensures that the results are not swayed by random factors or the “mood of the day,” but give a consistent picture of the underlying patterns in how a team collaborates. 3. Predictive value — The methodology has been tested against real-world practice. The research shows that teams scoring high on the measured team indicators genuinely perform better and report higher well-being. This makes the measurement a predictive factor for sustainable performing teams.

Frequency & timing
There’s no one specific “best” moment for a Team Energy Measurement. It’s valuable at many different points, for example: when you feel the collaboration is getting bumpy or there’s a lot of underlying tension. Or at the start of a new project, to have a clear baseline. Or annually, as a kind of MOT check-up for the team, to see where you stand and where you want to grow. The most important thing is that the team shares a wish to invest in the collaboration.
Privacy & security
Privacy comes first. Individual answers are never traceable by the team leader or fellow team members. The report is shown only at team level, provided the team consists of at least 5 people.
